Applied Architecture Patterns on the Microsoft Platform Posted: 20 Aug 2014 11:03 PM PDT Applied Architecture Patterns on the Microsoft Platform by September 7, 2010 | ISBN: 184968054X | Pages: 544 | PDF | 12 MB The book consists of a set of business scenarios and corresponding solution critiques. Each "use case" chapter is made up of a problem description, assessment of implementation options, and the selection of the ideal solution candidate. We then construct the solution using the chosen Microsoft technology. This book is for architects, developers, and managers who need to improve their knowledge of the Microsoft application platform. This book will appeal to anyone who wants to get up to speed on selecting the most appropriate platform for a particular problem. Consultants and executive leadership will also find significant value in this book. |
Evil Pumpkin: The Lost Halloween (2014) Posted: 20 Aug 2014 11:03 PM PDT Evil Pumpkin: The Lost Halloween (2014) PC, Mac, Linux | English | Developer / Publisher: Two Desperados | 877/930/915 Mb Genre: Adventure, Casual, Hidden Objects Meet Lemuel Barnabas. He is not a protagonist in our story, but just look at him - he's scrappy and funny, talks to himself, likes music and long walks behind the bar. In a word - he is quite mad, but as mad as he is, he's the one you come to for help. Help? What happened? You didn't hear? Apparently there is this thing called Halloween. I know, I know, it sounds stupid. But there's candy involved! Now I have your attention. The city of Dern is ostracized from the Halloween community. Everyone around you seem to know something about it, but you're a boy, nobody is going to tell you. In this step away from the classic HO gaming take things into your own hands and find out whatever happened to Halloween. |
10,000 Maniacs - Blind Man's Zoo (1989) Posted: 20 Aug 2014 11:03 PM PDT 10,000 Maniacs - Blind Man's Zoo (1989) Rock | 1cd | EAC Rip | Flac + Cue + Log | covers Elektra/Asylum 960815-2 | rel: 1989 | 285Mb After the success of In My Tribe, it would be expected that hordes of bands would take a stab at the market with their own second-rate versions of the album -- it's disappointing that 10,000 Maniacs would be one of them, churning out not only In My Tribe, Pt. 2, but an inferior copy at that. It's not that the album is bad -- certainly they've perfected their sound, and in many cases, the songs are catchier this time out -- but in handling the issues (there's no shortage of them), Natalie Merchant has become more direct and obvious. For all of its earnestness and good-intentioned teachings, Blind Man's Zoo ultimately fails in its heavy-handed and generally uninteresting approach. ~Allmusic |

An Irish Tragedy: How Sex Abuse By Irish Priests Helped Cripple The Catholic Church Posted: 20 Aug 2014 10:54 PM PDT An Irish Tragedy: How Sex Abuse By Irish Priests Helped Cripple The Catholic Church by April 4, 2008 | ISBN: 0979027985 | Pages: 192 | PDF | 9 MB The story of how Irish immigrants helped to build the American Catholic Church is well-known. But the sad tale of how Irish priests later undermined the Church has gone untold, until now. Investigative reporter Joe Rigert's search for the roots of the Catholic sex-abuse scandals led him to Ireland, where he found that rigid sexual repression in both society and the priesthood has had the opposite of its intended effect, fostering bizarre and criminal sexual expression. Though a tiny country, Ireland has been a chief exporter of abusers to America, making the Catholic Church's darkest crisis a true Irish tragedy. |
